The Credit Crunch Wedding
March 3rd, 2009 | Published in Resources
Tired of hearing the dreaded “Credit Crunch” term on the news these days? As much as I’d love to think our recession is hugely fueled by hype, the fact of the matter we’re all being effected by it now. I’ve noticed a lot of my new clients are admitting to scaling back their costs which unfortunately includes the photography budget. Check out this BBC link on the “Credit Crunch Wedding”

Although, we’re all tightening our belts these days, this video is also a good example about media hype. I’m scratching my head a bit that the BBC would take statistical information and portray it as fact from confetti.co.uk – a fine website but not exactly the authoritative or accurate source that the BBC could use.
Hey I thought this blog posting was about “The Credit Crunch Wedding” since when did this turn into a rant about skewered statistical data and my distaste television journalism?
Back to the topic at hand, you’re bound to feel special with this.
Note: Unfortunately, this dress is no longer available at M&S I tried to buy for a recent “trash the wedding dress” shoot…I just bought lunch instead.
So for all the readers out there, are you having a credit crunch wedding? What have you done to minimize the costs of your wedding? Are there things you just couldn’t skimp on? Have you thought about or have postponed your wedding till things turn around a bit? Very interesting times indeed….
