Pre Wedding Photography….. At Night!

“Oh so you’re doing pre wedding photography today?”
So I’m slowly turning British. I’ve been in London for over 5 years, I like the word “mate” instead of “buddy”, I say “sorted” when I’ve accomplished something, and I love dancing to Techno. However it’s going to take me a while to get used to “pre wedding photography”. If you think about when does anyone ever use the term “premature” to refer to anything good? OK get your minds out of the gutter! However, if there was any exception to that rule its got to be Tom and Tiff’s pre wedding photography.

G’day Mate!

Tom and Tiff a really cool Australian couple asked me recently to do their engagement photography. Their brief was a bit different though, both of them lead pretty busy lives and both hardly had time to do a shoot during the day. So I suggested we shoot at night and do it around iconic London images so they could show them off when they got back to Australia.

When cliche’ just seems cool!

To be honest with you I wasn’t really sure what I was going to get, we started off in Trafalgar Square and were quickly booted out by a couple of mean Eastern European security guards with walkie talkies. We then decided that a cliche’ shot of the both of them by a phone booth would be much easier and a better way to get in the mood. Once we had one good photo we all loosened up and had loads of fun. There is nothing like a a couple of people who are willing to do pretty much anything for a fun and crazy photo.

I think this is something that I might offer to couples who are interested in pre wedding photography, its different, the colours of the night really jump out and you can get images that are truly unique. A big premature wedding congratulations go out to Tom and Tiff!
