There’s something wonderful about the bouquet toss that sends all the single girls scrambling. I love it since you get the most interesting expressions on people’s faces. Especially in this photo where you get a real sense of urgency and intensity. Too bad I didn’t get the bouquet in the shot!

I’ll have to admit it, I love when it rains during a wedding. It might not be great for the pre-requisite family portraits, however, I find some of the most emotional and amazing images occur when it rains. I recently, took this shot in Ottawa, Canada and I just love how there is an army of umbrellas following the bride.

It can be difficult to get a new version of an image you find cliche’ , however, every once in a while you get an image that is different from all the other “getting ready” images youve shot a million times over. I really love this picture since we get to see three angles of her face in one image, which is definitely a unique take on something I’ve done a million times over.

I have to admit the end of the night dance is always the funnest part of the wedding for me . Not because my day is nearly done – its because the same people who have been trying to avoid having their picture taken all of a sudden drop everything and let loose. Admittedly, while the light is not always ideal for a great image the energy and happiness will often overcome a tough photographic situation.
